Hot Game Review is an independent gaming site covering the three things players actually ask about: which games are worth your time, which VPN keeps your connection fast and safe, and which gaming software is worth paying for.

  • Game reviews and best-of lists — ranked guides for the games people are playing right now, from Fortnite and Roblox to competitive shooters, with the reasoning behind every pick.
  • Gaming VPN guides — head-to-head comparisons and best-VPN rankings focused on what matters in-game: ping, jitter, DDoS protection, server coverage near matchmaking hubs, and console workarounds.
  • Gaming software guides — practical explainers and comparisons of the tools around the games, written in plain English.

How we test and rank

Every guide on this site is built the same way: we play the games ourselves, compare specifications and published benchmark data from multiple independent test sources, and cross-check performance figures before anything is ranked. Where a guide cites speed or latency numbers, it says where those numbers come from. Each article carries a “last updated” date, and we revise rankings when games, prices or services change — a list from last year should never be presented as this year’s advice.

Rankings are never sold. No provider can pay to be ranked #1, moved up a list, or removed from a comparison.

How this site makes money

Hot Game Review is reader-supported. Some articles contain affiliate links: if you buy a game, VPN or tool through one of those links, we may earn a commission at no additional cost to you. The site also displays advertising through Google AdSense.
