Hot Game Review is reader-supported. When you buy through links on our site, we may earn an affiliate commission. This page explains how that works and how it does — and does not — influence our content.
Programs we participate in
- Amazon Associates: Hot Game Review is a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to Amazon.com.
- VPN and software partners: We may earn a commission when you sign up for services such as NordVPN through links on this site.
- Other affiliate networks: Some gaming gear, game store and software links may be managed through networks such as Impact or PartnerStack.
How commissions affect our rankings
They don’t. Our reviews, rankings and best-of lists are written by our editorial team — Sam Cyber, Ryan Quest and Owen Volt — and are never sponsored or paid for by the brands mentioned. A product can only appear in a list because we believe it belongs there. Where an affiliate link exists, it is marked with rel="sponsored nofollow" so search engines treat it correctly.
What it costs you
Nothing extra. Buying through an affiliate link never changes the price you pay; the commission comes out of the seller’s margin, not your pocket. It does help keep Hot Game Review free to read, alongside advertising such as Google AdSense.
